Theresa May has called a General Election...but there are battles to be won before June 8

After promising repeatedly not to, Theresa May has called a General Election. On June 8th, the Country will return to the polls to vote on which direction they want to take the Country.

We'll be making the case for Labour. As Jeremy Corbyn said yesterday morning, Theresa May will try to insist that this an election all about Brexit while instead serving the ambitions of her party, not the Country. She will try to downplay the issues that affect people’s lives every day and instead turn the election into an ego trip about her own failing leadership.

Only Labour offers a real alternative, putting forward popular common sense policies that will help everyday hardworking people. An alternative that will focus on key issues of the NHS, Schools, the Living Wage and Tax Avoidance to name a few.

Here's Jeremy kicking off the campaign in Croydon:

Theresa May is running scared of a television debate, so it's up to us to take our case to the people and fight for proper Labour values in our Community.

The General Election might be on June 8, but we've got County Council elections to fight before then!

Welwyn Hatfield residents will take to the polls on May 4 to elect their County Council representatives and residents in Panshanger have the opportunity to vote for Lucy Musk on May 4.
