Attendance records held by Hatfield Town Council have revealed appalling attendance levels by Conservative members of the Council.

Since May 2017, Conservative opposition Councillors have attended just 39% of meetings with one prominent Conservative Councillor attending just two of the 11 meetings they were scheduled to attend.

Oliver Price, Labour’s Candidate for the Hatfield East by election on 23rd November said:

It’s outrageous that after the public put their faith in them, they can’t find the time to do the job they were elected for. They’re supposed to be an opposition but how do they even know what’s going on if they don’t turn up?

Labour Borough Councillor Kieran Thorpe said:

As an opposition member of the borough Council, I’m interested how the Tories go about being in opposition. I was shocked to hear that it’s common for none of them turn up to meetings at all!

Residents of the Hatfield East Ward face a November polling day because of the prolonged absence of an ex-Councillor, it’s clear that all the Conservatives have to offer the people of Hatfield is a failure to turn up for work.

Hatfield deserves better. On 23rd November, use your vote wisely and put your faith in Oliver Price who will work hard for you.
