Douglas Tilbe House, the Ludwick Family Centre and now Panshanger Community Centre.

Welwyn Hatfield Council has again demanded massive rent increases from a community facility serving the young and old alike in Panshanger. Facing financial oblivion, the centre has closed.

It’s clear that this Conservative Council is anti-community. It ignores the views of residents and works against facilities that our communities depend on.

They see the cost of everything but the value of nothing. What will the real price be when Welwyn Garden City has no community facilities left?

Whenever the Conservatives have attacked our community facilities in this way, Labour Councillors have stood up and voted against it.

Massive rent hikes for the services you pay for, Tax rises for residents, Pay rises for Conservative Councillors. It’s time to put an end to this reckless, short-sighted Conservative Council.

Vote Labour on 3rd May, for a Council that values our communities, and stops working against the things that they need.
