Welwyn Hatfield Labour calls Public Meeting over Conservative Police & Crime Commissioner plans to take over our Fire & Rescue Service.

The Conservative Police Commissioner wants to take over Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. He intends to make millions of pounds of cuts, closing both Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City Fire Stations. This would be disastrous for both towns.

Both the Borough and County Councils are against this, but ALL Herts Conservative MPs back the takeover which will be decided by the Conservative Government later this year.
