My name is Linda Mendez and I have served the Hatfield community for the past 21 years both on the Town and Borough council representing the Labour party.

My interests have led me to be involved in the Breaks Community Centre because of my passionate concern for the young people in the area. I am also involved in the Wellfield Trust who support vulnerable local individuals through a variety of projects.

Having lived in Hatfield for over 50 years I have become aware of the concerns of the local residents and realise that Hatfield is undergoing a period of change, partly due to outside factors of which we have little control. However I pledge to do my upmost to alleviate the problems of those in the community who are least able to withstand them.
